Brazilian Lemonade

Today is G’s birthday and as it happens to be a weekend and the weather seems promising, I decided to invite a few friends over and do a backyard party for him. He took me to a three-day trip to Las Vegas early this week for my birthday (yes, our birthdays are just days apart) and it’s now my turn to be nice. šŸ™‚
While he planned and did the lot of the work on our last BBQ shindig, this time, he gets to lounge around and be served like a king for a day. While our last grilling party was all about Korean short ribs, we’re having a full-on Mexican feast for this afternoon’s festivities.

Ingredients

  • 4 limes
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Wash limes and scrub well to rid the skins of any wax residue. Cut off ends of limes and cut into eights.
  2. In a blender, combine limes, water, sugar, and condensed milk. Pulse for about 4 to 5 times. Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the mixture and discard pulp.
  3. Serve immediately over ice.
