Chocolate Blossom Cookies

I LOVE chocolate and these Chocolate Blossom Cookies satisfy all my chocolate cravings. Talk about YUMM, a chocolate cookie rolled in sugar and then topped with a chocolate kiss. You have to try them! They make the perfect cookie for Christmas and in my house they just may be Santa’s favorite. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 3/4 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1 large Egg (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coco powder
  • 3 melted chocolate kisses (melted)
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 20 Chocolate kisses for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet with non stick spray or parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugars together in a stand mixer or in a large mixing bowl with a hand mixer. Add egg and vanilla and continue to mix.
  3. Scrap bowl then add salt, baking powder, coco powder, and melted chocolate kisses. 
  4. Last slowly add in flour about 1/2 cup at a time until fully mixed. Allow to chili for 10-15 minutes or until dough is no longer sticky and can be handled.
