SEAFOOD ALFREDO

Usually we do some sort of seafood boil, but tonight we wanted to do something a little different. We went out to dinner a couple weeks ago and had a seafood pasta dish, and inspired me to do something similar.

Ingredients
1 package fettuccini noodles
1 lb large shrimp raw, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb bay scallops patted dry
6-10 little neck clams scrub under cold water
1 tbsp garlic
1 and 1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese shredded
1/2 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 tsp flour

Instructions
Begin boiling water in a large pot.

In a large frying pan, heat 1/8 cup of butter. Sear scallops for two-three minutes on each side.

In the same pan, add more butter and pan sear the shrimp for  2-3 minutes on each side. Put aside.

When water begins boiling, add pasta and a tsp of salt. Cook until tender.

In a large frying pan with a lid, combine 1/3 cup of water with 1/8 cup of butter and a dash of garlic powder. When it begins boiling, steam clams until they open. Try your best not to take the lid off. Once they are open, put them aside with the rest of your seafood. It should take about 4-5 minutes to steam.

In a small sauce pan, 1/4 cup of butter. When butter is heated up, add flour and whisk until it's golden brown.

Add heavy cream and garlic and bring to a slow bubble.

Add cheese slowly, stirring constantly. Once sauce has thickened, toss with seafood and pasta in a large pot. Serve and enjoy!
