Antioxidant-Packed Vibrant Green Matcha Cheesecake!

I have so many good memories of eating cheesecake as my family and I would often bake it for birthday celebrations. Now a days, my love and passion for both cheesecake and Matcha has lead me to make the most delicious creation of all:

Cheesy, creamy, floraly, umami, sweet - the Matcha cheesecake is not only delicious and stunningly vibrant green, but it is also overflowing with antioxidants. For this cheesecake, I decided to use our high-quality ceremonial grade for a vibrant green color, sweet taste, and added health benefits!

Let’s check out the recipe!

Ingredients:
For The Crust:

Graham Crackers... 2 1/4 cups, finely crushed*
*I used gluten-free graham crackers!
Melted Butter... 1 stick

For the Cheesecake:

Cream Cheese... 2 8oz packages.
Eggs... 3
Sugar... 1 cup
Sour Cream... 1 lb
MariMatcha Ceremonial Matcha... 2 1/2 tbsps
Water... 2 tbsps

Toppings:

Sift on More Matcha... for an added Antioxidant boost!

Directions:

Crush the graham crackers using a ziplock bag and a rolling pin. Measure out two cups and pour the crushed graham crackers into a bowl.
Add the melted butter and mix well until combined.

Oil a baking pan with nonstick spray or butter and firmly. press the graham butter mixture into the pan.

Let it cool in the fridge while you prepare the remaining ingredients.

Using an electric whisk, whisk the cream cheese, adding the eggs one by one.

Add the sugar little by little, and follow with the sour cream.

Using a traditional chasen, mix the water with the MariMatcha Ceremonial grade Matcha powder until it is smooth and silky.

Pour the Matcha into the cream cheese mixture and continue to blend until it is completely mixed.

Bake at 325 for about 40 minutes. Let it cool before setting in the fridge to harden for about 4-5 hours!

Sift on more Matcha powder and enjoy with a fresh cup of MariMatcha!
