SLOW COOKER BEEF GYROS
I wanted to make something a little more healthy for dinner tonight, but I wanted it to be quick and easy. Our Chicken Gyros are one of the most popular posts on our site, so I decided that it was time for a beef version . . . and I think that I like it even more!

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 3 pounds sirloin steak (cut into 1/2 inch strips)
- 1 onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 6 pita bread
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 1 cucumber (sliced)
- Tzatziki sauce:
- 32 ounces plain yogurt
- 2 cucumbers (peeled and seeded)
- 3 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- salt and pepper, to taste
- olive oil, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Pour beef broth in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place steak in the slow cooker and top with onion slices.
