No Churn Dairy Free Fresh Peach Sorbet

Ever since Pinterest came into my life, I’ve had WAY more saved pins for recipes then I will ever have time to make. I’ve always liked trying new recipes. I used to do it leisurely, but now that I blog about the recipes I have tried and love I get to try new things at a faster pace! And, my boys are loving the variety, too.

Every year my employer (which is soon going to be myself, HA!), requires me to get blood work done as one of the qualifications for a lower health insurance rate. I have a love/hate relationship with the incentive. I am grateful for the required blood work because it’s a clear report of my health status.

On 3/9/17, I received some not so great news from my blood work. My triglycerides were 248 mg/dL; they should be less than 150 mg/dL. HDL was 30 mg/dL; it should be greater than 40 mg/dL. My cholesterol/HDL ratio was 6.23; it should be less than 5.0. And my non-HDL cholesterol was 157 mg/dL; it should be less than 130 mg/dL.

Ingredients

  • 5 Ripe Peaches (Approximately 4 Cups)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 cup Vanilla Almond Milk (Unsweetened Almond Milk Works, too!)
  • 1-2 tsp Lemon Zest

Instructions

  1. Remove pits from the peaches and slice. Transfer to a freezer safe bag. Allow to freeze. (About 6 hours)
  2. ............................................
