NUTELLA POP TARTS

Or maybe just for eating with a spoon right from the jar. What? You know you do it too!
It is made with skim milk, so it has to be good for you, right?

I grew up eating boxed pop tarts, and I actually still like them.
There is something so comforting about eating one for breakfast with a Coconut Nutella Latte or in the afternoon.
(my fav are the cookie dough ones…mmmmm)
Our kids love these little breakfast goodies too.
They are the perfect grab and go snack for mornings when everyone is running a little behind.
These easy homemade Nutella Pop Tarts are made with just a few ingredients and look just like the store bought treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 box pie crusts
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 4 ounces white chocolate bakers chocolate
  • 2 ounces chocolate bakers chocolate
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll both pie crusts. Cut out 8 - 3 inch by 4 inch rectangles from each pie crust. You will need to cut as many as you can, and re-roll the dough to get more.
  3. Spread the Nutella evenly on 8 of the rectangles. Make sure to leave a 1/2 inch border all the way around. Top each one with the remaining pie crust rectangles. Press the sides together with your fingers, and then use a fork to crimp the edges.
  4. Gently place the tarts on the baking sheet. Use a knife and cut a few small slits in the top of each tart. Bake them for 20-22 minutes, or until they are a light golden brown. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes, then remove them and place on a wire rack until cooled.
