FUNFETTI CAKE BATTER MILKSHAKE

When I was a kid ice cream was always our dessert of choice.  Probably because we ALWAYS had some in the freezer, but also because it was a favorite of my dad’s.  Growing up in the rural parts of South Dakota, and with my grandparents being dairy farmers, ice cream was a staple after nearly every family gathering or get together.  My dad always loved blending up a cold, creamy milkshake or malt for us, especially to enjoy outside on the porch after a hot summer day.

This Funfetti Cake Batter Milkshake is definitely something that is perfect for sipping after a warm spring or summer day.An amazing milkshake that tastes just like it came from the soda shop!  This awesome Funfetti Cake Batter Milkshake is super easy to make, and is perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day! It comes together in just minutes, and with the addition of the colorful sprinkles, it would be fantastic treat for a birthday party, too!  Toppings are always essential for the perfect milkshake.  Plenty of whipped cream, more colorful sprinkles, and it wouldn’t be a milkshake without a cherry on top!

INGREDIENTS

• 1½ c. vanilla ice cream
• ½ c. cold milk
• 2 Tbsp. yellow or white dry cake mix
• 2 Tbsp. sprinkles or jimmies
• Toppings:
• Whipped Cream
• Extra Sprinkles
• Maraschino Cherries

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a blender, add the ice cream, milk and cake mix. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add the sprinkles and pulse once or twice just to combine.
2. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry on top. Enjoy right away
