THE BEST CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Everyone needs a great Buttercream Frosting recipe and a great Cream Cheese Frosting recipe … here is our The Best Cream Cheese Frosting recipe.  It is sweet and creamy with just a little tang from the cream cheese.  Delicious!  And don’t worry … it is super easy to make.  This one is a keeper!

Add 8 oz of softened Cream Cheese and 1/2 cup of softened butter to the mixer.

Then add 2-3 teaspoons of vanilla.  I start with 2 teaspoons now and then add more at the end if I think I need it.


Mix the Cream Cheese, Butter and Vanilla just until it is fully incorporated.

I use my food scale to measure 1 pound of Powdered Sugar.  (If you don’t have a food scale the equivalent would be 4 cups.)  You can sift the powdered sugar if it is really lumpy.  I do not always do this. Instead I will mix the powdered sugar on low for 30 seconds to break up any large lumps.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound (4 cups) of Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter (We use Salted Sweet Cream Butter)
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 3 teaspoons of Vanilla
  • Decorating Bags
  • Wilton 2D Decorating Tip
  • Mixer

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a mixer until blended.
  2. Add powered sugar a cup at a time and continue to mix until sugar is incorporated.
