BOURBON PEACH SLUSH

Peach season won’t be around much longer and it makes me sad because I just love my Colorado peaches so darn much! I haven’t had a bad one all summer. They’ve all been sweet, juicy, and peachy perfection.

To make sure I can still have my peaches during the snowy months I’ve been freezing them. Yes, I’m that weirdo that still enjoys cold frozen things when it’s snowing outside. Of course frozen is never as good as fresh, but there are still lots of things to make with frozen peaches, like this Bourbon Peach Slush!

I have always been a fan of peaches, but it wasn’t until the last year or so that I discovered how much I enjoy bourbon as well. I love the rich smoky flavor it has, it’s beautiful amber color and that not only is it great for cocktails like this slush, but cooking and baking as well.

While the summer peach season is still hanging on I knew I wanted to make a fun cocktail that combined those juicy peaches with bourbon. In case you weren’t aware, peaches and bourbon are a phenomenal combination together.

This cocktail if a frozen slushy type which not only makes it fun to drink, but refreshing as well if you’re still experiencing some warm afternoons.
