Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe

Buffalo chicken pizza like yuh dream about. Buffalo chicken pizza is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. Oh, and marrying Patty too. When my friends and I order pizza out we don’t even speak about it—it’s just mutually understood that we’re getting “buff chick.”

I keep buffalo chicken pizza simple. Chicken, fresh mozzarella, red onions, and buffalo sauce. I started experimenting with fresh sliced mozzarella on buffalo chicken pizza and I really like the result. It’s fresh and feels “gourmet.” You can use crispy fried chicken slices, grilled chicken, or simply sauté chicken on the stove top in a little buffalo sauce.

  • 18-20 ounces pizza dough
  • 1 8 ounce chicken breast cut into bite sized cubes
  • 6-7 1/4 inch slices fresh mozzarella (8 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (for crust)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for crust)

instruction

  1. Preheat the oven to 500° F and place the pizza stone in the oven and let preheat for one hour.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the chicken into bite sized cubes and cook on medium heat in a small saucepan. fully cook and drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons of buffalo sauce until lightly covered and set aside.
  3. Roll out the dough into a 12 inch crust. Sprinkle evenly with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or to taste.
