Ingredients
- For Taco Seasoning
- 2 tbs chili powder
- 1 tbs ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- For Taco
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups tomatos diced canned, about 14.5 ounce
- 1/2 cup green chilies canned, about 4.5 ounce
- 1/4 cup cilantro fresh, chopped
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 2 cups cheddar shredded, I like triple cheddar
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
Instructions
- Heat skillet on med-hi heat and add olive oil
- Add chopped onions and cook until they become almost translucent
- Put ground beef in the skillet, cook until no longer pink, chopping as it cooks
- Add tomatoes and green chilies, with their juices and stir
- Add spices and stir in well
- Stir in cilantro
- Reduce to low and allow to simmer 5 to 7 minutes to thicken
